![]() During daily use, I couldn't detect any difference whatsoever compared to Logitech's G Pro Wireless mouse, and it felt equally responsive when playing games, too - which is no mean feat considering its significantly lower price. Now I've got all manner of wireless devices at home, and in practice I have to say it held up incredibly well. With a claimed range of up to 65ft and apparently twice the speed of Corsair's last gen wireless standard, Slipstream makes a compelling elevator pitch, especially since Corsair say it's also able to constantly search for the best frequency via its new Intelligent Frequency Shift feature (or IFS) to help keep your wireless connection nice and stable. The main appeal, of course, is the fact it has both 2.4GHz wireless support and low-latency Bluetooth thanks to Corsair's new Slipstream tech. ![]() Corsair actually say it's more of a 'claw-grip' style mouse as opposed to a palm or fingertip-style mouse, but I got on perfectly fine with it no matter what position I happened to have my fingers in at the time. I suspect that's because it's a bit short and stubbier than other gaming mice I've been using recently, so it doesn't feel like such a wodge under the palm. It still feels plenty light enough to move around comfortably, though, and at no point did I feel like it was a chore to swish it left and right while I was playing games. It's also a fraction heavier than the old Harpoon, now weighing 99g as opposed to 85g. You're probably never going to need that extra 4000 DPI in all honesty - not unless you've got bionic eyes that can somehow detect subatomic-level movements across the screen - but it never hurts to have the extra bit of flexibility. The main difference (apart from the fact it's wireless) is its new PMW3325 sensor, which bumps the original Harpoon's maximum speed of 6000 DPI all the way up to 10,000. The only difference is that the latter button now has a little RGB LED along the top of it to help you identify which of its five DPI / sensitivity settings you currently have enabled. ![]() It's got the same rubbery textured grip on either side of the mouse, plus an identical pair of programmable buttons along the right-handed sculpted thumb groove as well as a central DPI button. Is Corsair's new cordless competitor really all it's cracked up to be? Here's wot I think.īased on the regular version of Corsair's Harpoon RGB mouse, the new wireless model looks more or less exactly the same as its wired sibling. Now, I know I haven't reviewed that many wireless gaming mice so far, but the two I have looked at, namely the Logitech G Pro Wireless, and Razer's Mamba + FireFly Hyperflux combo, will both set you back at least a hundred quid, if not significantly more. A wireless gaming mouse for a mere $50? You must be having a laugh. ![]() When Corsair announced their new Harpoon RGB Wireless gaming mouse would cost just £49 / $50 back in January earlier this year, I thought there must be some kind of catch. ![]()

Never underestimate the power of good tailoring, and make it a point to have necessary tailoring done to your clothes if and when needed. Tailoring can make a major difference in the way your dresses look and feel on your body. Therefore, to find dresses off the shelf that fit you just right is next to impossible.Īs a short and overweight woman, getting used to tailoring your clothes will make a huge difference in how you look! ![]() On top of that, amongst the limited brands who do make petite size clothes, even fewer of them make clothes for someone who is overweight. The clothing industry make “standard” size for women who are over 5’4″, which means there are not that many options to begin with if you are a short girl. If you are short and curvy, tailoring is something you should have become accustomed to utilizing to get your clothes fitting properly. If the dress has too much volume, it will only overwhelm a short woman and make your entire body look bigger than you actually are. can be flattering, but you want to make sure it is not too billowy. To make one thing very clear- clothing doesn’t need to be super slim fit, just ensure that the clothing shows YOUR shape and creates balance to your body. Rather than hiding behind clothing, embracing and truly celebrating your body shape is the most flattering for your body shape– not to mention it’s a powerful way to feel more confident in your body. Avoid puffy skirtsĪny skirts that carry extra volume with them will not be the best option for women who are short and overweight. Great alternatives that give you comfort and ease of wear are fabrics that offer some stretch to them, think of your cotton-elastane combination fabrics. The main issue that comes up with low-rise styles is how they cut the body and the hip/waist area in a really odd place.Low-rise bottoms are something to try to avoid when you are plus size. The early 2000’s made low-rise jeans a trend and fortunately, it’s not a trend that’s resurfaced (yet). When wearing high-rise styles it adds major waist definition to the body AND it makes legs appear much longer by lifting the waistband placement on the body – both of these attributes provide a slimming and elongating effect that’s perfect when you’re plus size. Bottoms High rise jeansīased on the feedback from numerous petite customers of my jeans collection who wear size L and XL, high-rise everything is a much better and more flattering option on someone who carries weight on the butt and thighs. Shoulder pads broaden your shoulders, which will expand your top half overall and make your top look even heavier than you actually are. Avoid dramatic shouldersĪny tops with excessively obvious shoulder pads are not a good idea for short and overweight women. ![]() To put it bluntly, bulky clothes add the illusion of actual bulk to the body – and this is why avoiding bulky clothing is something to strive for if you are overweight and short. Avoid balloon sleevesīalloon sleeves is another details you should be very careful with, as it can also add bulkiness to your top. So, if the tops have chest ruffles, most likely they will only make you look top-heavy. Ruffles and any of these types of details can look wonderful, but keep in mind that the bulkiness of them is going to translate to the part of the body they lay on. ![]() (That is why petite tops with minimum design are always the most popular in my clothing line!) The key to flatter a full bust is to keep it simple in front of your chest. If you are short and curvy, you probably have a big bust. While you might be overweight, you still have a body shape, and that’s why it’s so important to avoid clothing that doesn’t provide shape to your body.In fact, you shouldn’t wear anything shapeless. You don’t need to hide behind loose, baggy or shapeless dresses- these only make you look heavier than you are!.Something that many overweight women have been made to believe throughout their lives is that they need to wear clothing that “hides” their bodies.
